Good Clinical Practice Professional Certification Scheme (GCPPCS) is the first of its kind, based on the International Standards of Personnel Certification ISO/IEC17024:2012, aimed at promoting quality clinical research conducted in India.
The GCPPCS is developed by the Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) - Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THSTI). THSTI is an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
GCPPCS is aimed to achieve a uniform competence standard using internationally accepted best practices for assessment and certification.
North East Christian University (NECU) applied for the Approval of Personnel Certification Body (PrCB) for GCPPCS, and the Office Assessment (OT) was virtually held on 6th January 2022 by CDSA, THSTI. Having fulfilled all the requisite criteria, NECU has been approved as the First PrCB for the GCPPCS.
As PrCB for GCPPCS, NECU aims to maintain high standards of certification. The criteria for evaluation shall be as per the requirements listed in the Minimum Standard of Competency in the specific domain for which the GCP Professional undertakes the evaluation.
NECU PrCB invites applications from interested GCP professionals for the 1st GCPPCS Certification Programme.
